About the Recipe
Thank the good Lord above for Aunt Carol who blessed us with this recipe. (For you church goers…taste and see because the Lord IS GOOD!) It is as crazy good as it sounds. Yup…it starts with a boxed yellow cake mix. This is one of those recipes that will please a crowd. Going to dinner with friends? Offer to make dessert and then bring this! There will be silence around the table because it is just too amazing to talk while eating this. Expect to cut huge pieces of this. In the morning you will eat it again with the rational that it’s “coffee cake” and that is perfectly legitimate! Now, let’s all shout a collective “thank you” to Aunt Carol!

Ingredients
1 box of yellow cake mix
4 eggs
8 oz. sour cream
3/4 C corn oil (or vegetable oil)
1 tbsp vanilla
1 C brown sugar
1 tbsp cinnamon
1 C confectioners sugar
2 tbsp milk
1 tbsp vanilla
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
In a large mixing bowl add yellow cake mix, eggs, sour cream, oil and vanilla. Mix together until just combined. Do not over mix. Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with cooking spray and pour mixed cake into dish.
Step 2
In a smaller bowl, blend together brown sugar and cinnamon. Spread over the top of the cake and swirl into cake with a knife or fork.
Step 3
Bake at 325 degrees F for 35-40 minutes.
Step 4
While the cake bakes, mix together confections sugar, milk and vanilla until smooth and creamy. Set aside. As soon as the hot cake comes out of the oven, drizzle the sugar glaze over the top of the cake. Let cool and serve.
